Help!!!My hamster doesn't like to run on the wheel?

i seldom see my hamster running on the wheel, will that be alright? Do i need to change the hamster food once a day?i if not, how long must i change it once? please give my tips for taking care of a hamster. I just bought a dwarf hamsters a few days ago. It's a baby.
